Dr Kapil Mahna (GP Partner)
MBBS 2001 Manipal, MRCGP (Male)
I qualified in 2001, finishing my medical education in Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, both abroad and in the UK, since then. I have been a General Practitioner since 2011 and have worked in practices in Lewisham and Bexley before joining the practice in October 2014. My areas of special interest include mental health, respiratory medicine, IT and medical education.
Dr Sarah McMorran (GP Partner)
MBChB 2003 Aberdeen, MRCGP, DCH, DFSRH, DRCOG, LoC SDI, LoC IUT (Female)
I qualified in 2003 from the University of Aberdeen. I have since worked in London and diverse areas of Scotland where I completed my General Practice training in 2008 in Perth.
I have been a General Practitioner in the Scottish Borders since 2008 before joining the Redwood Practice in November 2017.
My special interests include Child Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Diabetes care.
In my spare time I enjoy swimming, golf and playing the piano.
Dr William Mante (Salaried GP)
MBChB 2013 KNUST, MRCGP (Male)
I qualified as a Doctor in 2013, completing my primary medical education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology, Ghana.
I have had the privilege of working in varied resourced clinical settings both abroad and in the UK gathering a lot of valuable experience in multiple specialties along my journey.
I completed my General Practitioner training in the Dartford VTS scheme and have had the opportunity to work in various practices in London, Bexley and the Dartford, Gravesham area.
I am passionate about helping to bridge the health inequality gap as well as exploring digital healthcare and maximising it's potential to the benefit of our patients.
In my spare time I like to watch inspiring documentaries, play and watch football.
Dr Mahna and Dr McMorran ensure that patients are given appointments with a wide range of healthcare professionals.
These include themselves, fellow GP's, pharmacists, nurses, first contact physiotherapists, our mental health nurse and social prescribers.
Advanced Clinical Practitioner
Nina Selby
Nursing project 2000 diploma, BSC(Hons)- Nursing in clinical practice, MSC Advanced clinical practice. (female)
I qualified in 2003 from Middlesex university, working in higher specialist general paediatrics and emergency medicine across London. For the past 16 years I have worked in Accident and Emergency in London, first as a Clinical Nurse Manager, then having the opportunity to expand my knowledge and clinical skill set by qualifying at South Bank University as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
I have a special interest in children and young people.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and going on long walks with my dog.
Nursing Team
Mrs Nicola Field RGN
Nurse Nicola Field has an extensive range of practice nursing experience.
She has special interests including diabetes, chronic disease management and cardiovascular disease.
She also provides children's immunisations as well as women's health including smears.
In addition she provides travel clinics.
Mrs Ruth Nicholls RGN
Nurse Ruth Nicholls completed her BSc in Nursing Studies at the University of Surrey. Initially with predominantly community-based nursing experience, she moved on to Intensive Care Nursing where a large part of her nursing career has been. She has now returned to community-based healthcare and her special interests lie with respiratory and cardiovascular disease management. In her spare time Ruth enjoys painting, walks and socialising with family and friends.
Mrs Maria Watkins NVQ3
Maria Watkins is our Healthcare Assistant.
She has special interests and additional training in wound care and infection control. She provides a range of appointments including phlebotomy, injections/vaccinations and ECG's.
Our nurses are available directly by appointment - 01322 223600. They also perform cervical smears and carry out health checks, immunisations, smoking cessation and can advise on many problems.
Practice Staff
Our practice is far more than just doctors and receptionists - we are a large team working together for our patients.
Practice Manager - Mrs Christine Bright
The role of the practice manager is to co-ordinate and organise the practice to best effect. She will help you with any administrative problems and will be pleased to receive any suggestions you may have about improving the services available.
Receptionists
The receptionist's job is to help you arrange consultations, home visits as necessary and answer telephone queries about the practice. Our receptionists cannot give medical advice.
Secretaries
They type letters of referral to hospitals and help with the administration of the practice.
Office staff
They help with the smooth running of the practice including managing patients' hospital letters, the registration of new patients and dealing with reports.
Community nursing team
They provide nursing care and advice to the housebound and those recently discharged from hospital. Telephone 0300 1234 449.
Health Visitors
They visit all families of children under five. They may also provide support and advice to all age groups, particularly at times of physical or emotional stress.
Mental health
To help our patients with their mental health problems, we have a team of skilled and sympathetic social prescribers as well as a mental health nurse.
