You can order repeat prescriptions and nominate a specific pharmacy to collect it from;
- online using your NHS account via the NHS website or the NHS App. In your account you can view all your repeat medicine so you can select the ones you need.
- by email at redwood.prescriptions1@nhs.net
- in writing. State the exact names of the medication you need. Drop your request into the surgery during practice hours. Out of hours you can leave any repeat prescriptions in the surgery letterbox.
Once your request is authorised, your prescription will be sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy within 72 working hours
Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)
The NHS is phasing out green prescriptions. The majority of prescriptions are now processed electronically through EPS.
EPS allows prescribers to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser of the patient’s choice. They are known as their “nominated” dispenser. Paper prescriptions will continue to be available in special circumstances. Almost all prescriptions will be processed electronically.
If you have a problem with the Pharmacy unable to locate your electronic prescription, please speak to Reception staff.
